I mean seriously… this kind of heat isn’t normal… global warming for the win
Apparently this the hottest summer for a long time, yesterday rocking up to 40 degrees!
It’s so hot that:
- My laundry is dry within 20 minutes of being hung outside
- I’m seriously contemplating not leaving my flat and the god sent air conditioning for the next 8 days of my holiday
- I don’t open the curtains during the anymore - darkness!
- I sleep hugging the air con remote control
- I was sweating and panting at 11.45pm last night whilst cycling back wearing sandals, shorts and a basketball top - I mean seriously come on
- I actually enjoy taking freezing cold showers
The world is truly messed up…

BWAHAHAHAAA!
I sympathise. I really do. I hates the heat. Id rather go on holiday to alaska than tenerife. Cold rules.
Its much easier to warm yourself up than cool yourself down.
Mind you, this week has been well hot in the UK. Not very humid though, and theres a breeze which is the important thing!
Ave a good sweat

In Thailand before the rainy season in was nearly 40 but your clothes wouldn’t dry for days it was so humid. After 3 days you just had to take them down and wash them again. I had so little use for hot water I moved to a cold water flat! The difference there was it was always hot so you adjusted to it, it the change is tempreture is what kills.

Summer’s arrived alright! Don’t fall into the trap of getting pissed off at Japan cos of the weather, just shurg your shoulders and think “bit hot today innit?”. You’ll get used to it. And pro tip - get someone from England to send you roll-on underarm anti-perspirant.

Oh, and in my last place I never, ever, ever opened the curtains. For 2 years. And don’t hang your clothes up to dry in direct sunlight unless they’re white cos the sunlight will bleach the colour out within a day.

Nah no chance of getting pissed off at the country cos of the heat, especially as i arrived in winter (tho a warm one this year apparently) - just like i said im a bit of a moaner when it comes to weather. I like teh heat it reminds me of my home in the south of Europe. It tends to get a lil much tho innit?
I’ve got a stack of deodorant from home so that’s all gravy too, no chance of a problem happening there.
NIce one for the tip on drying clothes tho, didnt know that. i did it with whites the other day so it was all good.

agh i so know what you mean. im here in osaka right now and im practically fainting from the heat. my step-dads family doesnt turn on the air con either yet so im basically shoveling ice into my mouth every minute and sticking my head into the freezer. its awful it is and the mosquitoes make it about 8 million times worse. but i guess we just have to bear with it ^^
