The art of cute-ing things up

A few years ago I wrote about Japan's seeming fascination with the 'cute' or かわいい and how this seeps into every corner of society from brand and government mascots to products to serious things like health and safety regulations. Original post is here http://www.lo-la.co.uk/2008/05/01/japan-or-the-cult-of-the-cute/

Then this video came up on twitter today courtesy of @andymalt

It seems that even zoo drills are fair game when it comes to cute-ing things up. Love the way the dude in the tiger suit gets poked after being 'put to sleep'.
