Roughly one week and 3 hours ago Japan was hit by an earthquake of 9.0 magnitude (Richter scale) followed by a tsunami which wrecked northern coastal areas and prefectures. Last I checked nearly half a million people were displaced, thousands dead and tens of thousands still missing.
